MP Innovations - The Stable Table
Caravan Advice - DIY - Feedback - Handy Hints - Maintenance - Miscellaneous - Your Questions

On some caravans the fold out table is often subject to being unstable when in use. Michael wondered if there was a way of making the table more stable whilst not detracting from the overall look of the table.
As usual being the innovative chap he is he came up with the Stable Table, a simple addaption that works well and gives the added support that these type of tables seem to lack.

Parts needed:
1/2 inch leg, 25inches max length.
1/2 inch x 1/2 inch Nylon Bush, to fit inside leg.
Woodscrew to go inside the nylon bush, make sure it will not pierce the Table top.
1/2 inch Walking stick rubber foot.

Nylon Bush The additional leg.
Measure the table width and mark the centre where the bush will be fitted using the woodscrew. The leg should fit snugly over the bush with enough clearance from the lip of the table to allow it to fit neatly without catching on the drop spar of the table.
A rubber foot is fitted to the base of the leg to stop it cutting into the carpet or flooring of the van. These can be purchased from most DIY stores. The metal leg ready for use.
Job done, table is now stable and will be able to take extra weight that previously could have caused problems with its slide out fittings.
Another great design Idea from MP Innovations!
