| Alarm caravan to house |

I found this article in the 2001 Practical caravan magazine.
If you store your caravan at home you could connect it to your house alarm.
The diagram below shows a schematic of the wiring.
A standard 7 pin plug and socket arrangement is used between the caravan and the house.
As alarm systems work on the principal of a closed circuit the alarm will operate should either plug be removed, or if the cable is cut. A shunt switch between the house socket and the alarm panel allows you to by-pass the circuit.
Most alarms in the house have many zones; the alarm number does not need to be the same as the house one. |
